Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

The short version

  • MyFoodSupport is an independent website, not a government agency.
  • We don't ask you to create an account, and our site doesn't ask for your name, address or Social Security number.
  • When you click a “Check your options” button, you leave our site for a partner's page. Anything you enter there is handled under that partner's privacy policy, not this one.
  • We don't use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on our Site. If you arrive from an ad, we pass that ad's campaign details (like an ad ID or Facebook click ID) to the partner link you click, so the right campaign gets credit.
  • We don't sell your personal information. Depending on your state, you can ask us to access or delete the information we have.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how MyFoodSupport (“MyFoodSupport,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information when you visit myfoodsupport.com (the “Site”).

MyFoodSupport is a privately operated, independent website. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any federal, state or local government program. We help visitors find food and household assistance resources and partner offers, and we may be paid when you visit or complete an offer through a link on our Site.

This policy covers information collected through the Site only. It does not cover offline activity, or websites we link to that are run by other companies.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

You can use the Site without giving us your name or contact details. If you contact us, for example by email, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, email address and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically keeps standard server logs, which include some technical information when you visit:

  • IP address and the approximate location it suggests (city or state level)
  • Browser type, device type, operating system and language settings
  • Referring page, the pages you request, and the date and time of your visit

Information from partners

Affiliate networks may tell us whether a visit we referred led to a click, sign-up or completed offer. This is usually reported as a transaction ID or summary statistics rather than your name.

The Site doesn't ask for Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or other sensitive financial details. If a partner site asks for them, read that partner's privacy policy before you decide whether to share them.

3. Cookies & tracking

Cookies are small files your browser stores. Pixels (also called tags or web beacons) are small pieces of code that report when a page loads or a link is clicked.

We do not currently use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on the Site. We don't use Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or similar tools, and we don't run interest-based advertising on the Site.

Ad campaign details: if you reach the Site by clicking an ad, the web address may include details about that ad, such as a Facebook click ID (fbclid), ad, ad set and campaign IDs, campaign name, placement and traffic source. Our Site keeps these details in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. When you click a partner link, it adds them to that link. This lets the affiliate network and partner know which ad campaign referred you. We don't use these details to identify you, and we don't store them on our servers.

Partner links: when you click a “Check your options” button or another partner link, you go through our affiliate network's servers to the partner's page. The network and the partner may set their own cookies, or record a click ID, so they can show you the offer and credit the referral to us. Their own privacy policies cover those cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

If we add analytics or advertising tools later, we will update this policy before we do, and explain how to opt out.

4. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain and improve the Site
  • To show you resources and partner offers that may be relevant to you
  • To understand, in general terms, how well our pages and partner links are working
  • To get paid by partners for referrals, and to keep accurate records of them
  • To answer your questions and requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud, bots, abuse and security problems
  • To comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use

5. How we share information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We may share information in these situations:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site, such as hosting and email providers. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
  • Font delivery: our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google your IP address and basic browser details when it fetches them. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Affiliate networks and partners. When you click a partner link, technical information such as your IP address, device details, a click ID and any ad campaign details from the link you arrived on goes to that network or partner. This lets them show you the offer and credit the referral.
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with a law, court order or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of MyFoodSupport, our users or others.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that deal.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data that can't reasonably be used to identify you.

6. Partner sites & third-party offers

Our “Check your options” buttons and other partner links take you to websites we don't own or control. Those sites may ask you questions, collect contact details, or offer products, services or promotions. Their own privacy policies and terms apply to anything you enter there, so please read them before you share information.

We aren't responsible for the content, offers or privacy practices of third-party sites. Being linked from our Site doesn't mean we, or any government program, endorse them. Completing a partner offer does not guarantee any benefit, grant, stimulus payment or program approval.

7. Your choices

  • Cookies: block or clear cookies in your browser, or use private browsing.
  • Ads on other sites: we don't run interest-based ads on our Site. To limit tailored ads elsewhere, you can use the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info or your device's ad settings.
  • Global Privacy Control: we don't sell or share personal information, but if we ever do, we will treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out for that browser.
  • Partner messages: if you gave your contact details to a partner, use the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions in that partner's messages, or contact the partner directly.

8. State privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, and get a copy of it
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, of targeted advertising, and of certain kinds of profiling
  • Appeal if we deny your request
  • Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights

How to make a request

Email privacy@myfoodsupport.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us what you'd like us to do. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we'll only use the information you send for that purpose. You can also authorize an agent to make a request for you.

We aim to respond within 45 days. If we need more time, up to another 45 days where the law allows, we'll tell you why. Requests are free unless they are clearly excessive or repetitive.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by state privacy laws. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and give you a way to opt out. You can still email us with this subject line at any time.

9. Security & retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No website or internet transmission is ever completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Please don't email us sensitive information.

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, for example to keep referral and accounting records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. After that, we delete or de-identify it.

10. Children's privacy

The Site is meant for adults in the United States aged 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make a material change, we'll post a notice on the Site. Please check back from time to time.
